Dress shall be formal attire, scarlet if convenient. What does “scarlet, if convenient” mean? The Hunt Ball is a black tie affair and for women this means full length gowns and men in tuxedos. Gentlemen (who have been awarded their Metamora Hunt colors*) are permitted to wear scarlet tails or “pinques”, if they have them. This is the age old tradition. *royal blue with robins egg blue trim on collars of their hunting coats.
